If Facts “Come First” For CNN, Why Did The Network’s President Pledge Revenge Against Trump?
CNN broke their silence and directly responded to the president’s criticism of their mischievous behavior by claiming that they are merely reporting the facts with their constant negative coverage of Donald Trump on their international channels. The president had accused them of representing our nation poorly to the rest of the world, and he’s not wrong either.
In fact, it wasn’t long ago that the president of CNN threatened to represent Trump poorly to the world as an act of revenge.
Here’s what Zucker said to New York Magazine:
“One of the things I think this administration hasn’t figured out yet is that there’s only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran and Damascus — and that’s CNN,” Zucker said. “The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake.”
Could Zucker have been any more direct? He practically promised to use his networks array of foreign networks to broadcast negative revenge coverage because Trump snubbed him once at a press conference. “The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN.”
Doesn’t sound like Zucker was saying that the perception of Donald Trump is shaped by the facts–it seems to be carved from the manipulative coverage willed into life by CNN’s armada of networks.
The fact that someone would feel so comfortable making a threat like that to a sitting a president should tell Americans–and the world, for that matter–all they need to know: CNN is here to play dirty, they are unabashed about it, and they just don’t care who knows.
President Trump had enough of their shenanigans and lashed out on Twitter:
.@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!

It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world. That's yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst ?

Well, if facts come first, why would Zucker be threatening revenge? Sounds like someone needs to get their mood swings under control.
